The Australian defender is moving to the Scottish Premiership.

Bradford City defender Ryan McGowan has left the club due to “personal reasons”.

The 29-year-old has joined Scottish Premiership side Dundee FC on loan till the end of the season.

McGowan’s contract with City expires in the summer – he’s made 29 appearances for the Bantams.

The Australian arrived at Valley Parade last year, joining from UAE Arabian Gulf League outfit Sharjah FC.

City manager David Hopkin said: “We are disappointed to lose Ryan and would like to wish him the very best for the remainder of the season.

“Ryan has family in Scotland and expressed a desire to leave for personal reasons.

"We appreciate his position, given the offer made by Dundee, and thank him for all of his efforts."

The January transfer windows closes at 11pm tonight.
