A charity say they need more people to take animals in- so they don't have to be put down.
A charity are calling for more people in West Yorkshire to consider fostering dogs.
Yorkshire Rose Dog Rescue pair up animals in need of a temporary home with people willing to take them so they don't have to be put down.
The charity say there's a high demand for their services at the moment- with dozens of dogs needing homes at any one time.
They say anyone can consider fostering- as long as they don't have young children in the house- and there is a particular need for volunteers who don't currently have any other cats or dogs in their homes.
Enza Puzio from Bradford works as for the charity- and has done so for seven years.
She says "Fostering is such a rewarding thing to do- you really see the difference you make to the dogs life. We are in need of fosterers so that dogs here don't have to be put down. All dogs have different needs- so we have some elderly dogs that just need a sofa and a walk once a day- or some dogs that need much more care and attention."
"We are especially keen for people who don't already have any animals in their house to get in touch. If it's something that interests you then just speak to us- you may find we can help you out in many different ways so that fostering works for everyone."
