A woman stole the child's mobile phone on Lower Fitzwilliam Street.
Police have issued a e-fit of a woman they want to speak to after an 11 year old boy was mugged in Huddersfield town centre.
It happened on Lower Fitzwilliam Street between 7.20am and 7.40am on Monday 4th November.
A woman pushed the boy and stole his Samsung mobile phone before making off.
Officers now want to speak to the woman pictured in the e-fit above about the incident, and are urging anyone who recognises her to get in touch with them.
