A Halifax man has been jailed after admitting smuggling drugs into prison.

46 year old Andrew Marum was sentenced to 20 months for smuggling Class A drugs into Newhall Prison in Wakefield.


DI Phil Davis of Wakefield CID said: ‘I’m pleased with the sentence handed to Marum, we will not tolerate drugs in our prisons and we will prosecute people who chose to do so.’
