Halifax MP Gets Call From Duchess Of Sussex

Meghan phoned Holly Lynch to thank her for a letter expressing solidarity over attacks by the media.

Halifax's MP, who sent a letter of support to the Duchess of Sussex, says she was "surprised" to get a phone call from Meghan.

Labour's Holly Lynch organised the letter, which was signed by 72 female politicians from across the political spectrum.

It said certain articles have "represented an invasion of your privacy" and "sought to cast aspersions about your character".

The duchess recently revealed that British friends told her not to marry Prince Harry, because the tabloid press would "destroy" her life.

Some stories have been "seeking to tear a woman down for no apparent reason", the MPs add.

Such items have been written "without any good reason as far as we can see", the group of 72 continue.

Holly Lynch MP posted the full letter on her Twitter page, you can read it below...
