Former player announced as Huddersfield\'s Business Development Manager.
Huddersfield Giants have been given a huge boost this morning, with the news that a genuine Super League star will be joining their ranks for the 2012 season.
Former Bradford stand-off Robbie Hunter-Paul has taken up a position as Business Development Manager- a role with a remit that includes working with players as well as expanding the club's supporter and corporate base.
The 35-year-old said: "I like to think that I can apply many of the skills I have developed as an athlete to this role as well as drawing upon the education received as a sports marketing student with the University of Huddersfield. The fusion of these two diverse resources is something I feel will benefit the club in the long term."
"I can’t wait to get started and I am really excited about learning new skills from the current team as well as playing a role developing brand new strategies for moving the Giants forward."
Giants Managing Director Richard Thewlis explained: "His remit is very simple in that we want him to grow our business and in order to do that he will interact with a number of our departments here but primarily the marketing and commercial functions."
"His enthusiasm for the task ahead is fantastic to see and the drive and energy that he puts into everything he does will be of enormous benefit to us."
