The 71 year old pedestrian was knocked down in Rawdon by a 4X4 which failed to stop at the scene.
Police in Leeds are appealing for witnesses after a road traffic collision on the A65 in Rawdon on Friday 23rd of December.
The incident happened at 6.18pm on the A65 with its junction with Low Green when a car – believed to be a 4x4 type vehicle - collided with a pedestrian crossing the road.
As a result of the incident the pedestrian – a 71 year old local woman – was taken to LGI with serious injuries including broken ribs and a broken ankle.
The vehicle, which was travelling away from Leeds, did not stop.
