Taxi Driver Robbed At Knifepoint In Mirfield

Gang of five tied him to washing pole before running off.

Detectives are hunting for group of men who robbed a taxi driver at knifepoint in Mirfield.

The incident happened on Old Bank Road when the gang of five threatened the 32-year-old before taking £300 in cash from him.

Before leaving, they tied him to a washing pole and damaged his Toyota Corolla.

The victim was not injured during the robbery and has described the suspects as five white men in their late teens or early twenties. All were around 5'4" to 5'5" tall and wore dark clothing except for one suspect who was skinny and around 6" tall.

One of the suspects wore a Balaclava and was of medium build.
