The company say its down to the current economy as well as mild winter weather. But they will keep trading whilst they find a buyer.
Mild winter weather and a tough economy's caused Bradford based Barratts to go into administration.
The group - which sells shoes across the UK has 191 stores nationwide, and employs nearly 4 thousand people.
They said in a statement today the mild spells caused a downturn in sales of their new winter lines.
They also said they'll keep trading while they try to find a buyer.
