It happened near Walter Clough Lane on Tuesday evening.

A woman has been taken to hospital, after being trampled by cows while walking through a field near Halifax.

It happened at around 7pm on Tuesday evening near Walter Clough Lane.

The Yorkshire Air Ambulance, along with road ambulance crews, were first on the scene and provided initial medical care.

They then requested help from the Calder Valley Search and Rescue Team (CVSRT) to get the woman to a waiting ambulance for transfer to hospital.

The CVSRT are reminding people that 1alking through a field of livestock can be an intimidating experience and cows, particularly ones with calves, can behave unpredictably.
